Martha has been around dogs and hunting most of her life. Before she had Brittanys, she and her husband hunted grouse, woodcock, and pheasant over their English setters. Always interested in training, she has trained or helped train (some dogs are with a pro-trainer) the dogs in their kennel. Currently, these dogs include a National Brittany Amateur Champion, three field/amateur field champions, and two field champions.

She has placed her dogs in the National Brittany Gun Dog Championship and the National Brittany Amateur Gun Dog Championship as well as received the Woman Handler’s Award twice at the National Brittany Amateur All-Age Championship in Booneville, AR.

Martha continues to bird hunt with her husband and believes that quail hunting in Arizona and Texas is about as good as it gets.
